Stand Up For NO New Taxes

We have a new on-line petition encouraging Illinois taxpayers to stand up against tax increases to fund the Fiscal Year 2008 budget. 

“Our rank and file voters are hopping mad over a do-nothing Democrat controlled Illinois government that can somehow find the votes to pass themselves a pay increase but are continually unable to pass a common sense budget for the people of Illinois that does not raise their taxes,” said Illinois Republican Party Chairman Andy McKenna.  “This online petition gives voters in Illinois an opportunity to show their support for a 12-month budget that does not increase taxes o the hardworking men and women of Illinois.”

This online petition allows all taxpayers who support a 2008 budget without increases to go on record and have it broadcast on the Internet so all Illinoisans can see who stands against tax increases.
